Solar energy is free

Solar energy is free. But collecting it costs money. Solar collectors are an excellent investment as they are virtually maintenance free and will provide a predictable energy costs for the next 30 to 50 years. They are an excellent complement to a heat pump or bio-fuel energy and can provide both heating and domestic hot water. The most efficient solar collectors are of vacuum tube type, but flat plate collectors are also a cost-effective, sustainable complement to heat pumps. Best efficiency is achieved when used in combination with ExoTank system tanks. We call this the Flexifuel concept.

Vacuum tube solar collectors

ExoSol OPC 15 – 1133 kWh/år
The patented vacuum tube collector is of U tube type and fitted with a built-in 3-pipe system that is well insulated by vacuum. All that is needed is a connection at one end of the collector – the rest is built in and ready to go. Maximum energy absorption with a 360 degree absorber and parabolic reflector captures both direct and indirect (diffuse) solar radiation.

ExoSol OPC operates year-round, i.e. even in weather when there is no direct solar radiation, only diffuse sunlight. It’s possible to collect large amounts of solar energy even at temperatures significantly below 0°C. The vacuum between the inner and outer tube insulates in the same way as a thermos flask.
